As You Like It!

Last month our Shakespeare class performed "As you like it" obviously by Shakespeare. We had been training for 8 months (Some of us for longer like 2 years) to do a play and we did it! It was a very busy/fun experience. My mom directed it and my Aunt produced it. We have awesome coustumes and a really fun "Island theme" that worked perfect! Here are some pictures! They are mostly in order of the play. I didn't do a great job explaining the play either (I wasn't really trying) so if you havn't seen As you like it before you should!

Natalie (Rosalind) Me, (Celia)
Me & Libby (Madam LeBou)

Natalie, Me, Sofi (Touchstone) and Libby. (They are sisters.... In real life not the play!)

Me, Natalie & Megan (Captain Freda)
Me & Natalie planing to Run away
Best friends, and cousins!
Now on the Island. As you can see Celia (pretending to be Aliena) was unhappy/tired.
Rosalind (Pretending to be Ganymede) & Touchstone were feeling the same!
But things turned out alright!

Aliena reading a love note found on a tree for Rosalind
Rosiland (Pretending to be Ganymede) jokes with me.
Talking about the love note
In this scene we are at the beach!
Here I am sitting on a rock....
And then Celia (Pretending to be Aliena) falls in love............
And then Ganymede faints after seeing a bloody napkin from her love (not pictured)
And we show who we really (Ganymede is really Rosalind... And Aliana is really Celia!) And we get married!
We dance.............
We limbo...............
THE END!!

You should know (if you don't already know) that I skipped a LOT of stuff and there were a LOT of other people I didn't put pictures of. Thank you to Aaron for the great pictures!!

Shakespeare Fair

Before I start- I bet you are asking, what's a Shakespeare fair?
The Shakespeare fair is for all the kings and queens in our Shakespeare class who worked hard to become kings and queens and they get a special dinner and get served dinner by peasants and there's a shortened Shakespeare play, and everyone dresses up so basically it's a fun Elizabethan night!

How do you become a King or Queen in your Shakespeare class?
To become a king or queen in out Shakespeare class has to read, watch, see or listen to 17 or more Shakespeare plays. That's a lot of Shakespeare!
