You'll need a glass of milk with this...

Delicious. Crazy. Yummy. Fun. Perfect. Wonderful. Heavenly. Amazing.

You pick any great word you want to. It fits this cupcake!
Every bite is so rich, chocolaty & peanut buttery and once you've had a bite there's no stopping you. Your going to finish that cupcake. No matter what!
And the chocolate butter cream is the best.
You ready for the recipe? Oh yes you are!

1 box chocolate cake mix
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup sour cream
1 bag chocolate peanut butter cups

Mix together cake mix, eggs, milk & sour cream.
Pour 2 tablespoons batter into your paper cupcake liners. Place a peanut butter cup on top! Then fill your cupcake liners 3/4 full.

Bake at 350 for 15 -18 minutes.

Now for the frosting (The best part!)
1 stick butter softened
1/3 cup cocoa powder
3 3/4 cups powdered sugar
2-3 Tablespoons milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Beat butter. Add cocoa powder, powdered sugar, milk and vanilla extract together.

After cupcakes are cooled, pipe frosing onto cupcakes and add cut up pieces of extra peanut butter cups to the top of your cupcake.

There you go. So easy! And so yummy. This is a recipe you for sure will want to try.

Mini bites of Joy

I made some mini cupcakes on Friday night for a baby shower Saturday morning. Wait no, I was gone mostly all day Friday so my mom baked them for me. :) I decorated them. I LOVE mini cupcakes! They are just the cutest thing and you can eat like 10. Really. :) Also thank you to my amazing mother who stayed up with me till midight making these cupcakes... even though I was grumpy and not very nice to her. What did I say, She's amazing! Here are the cupcakes. I tried to get the to match at well as I could. The balls on top are gumballs from Michale's, and the little balls on the red cupcakes are just candy balls. The flavors were: white with cream cheese, chocolate with butter cream, and red velvet with cream cheese.

I had some extra cupcakes so I just decorated some with the colorful sprinkles.

And this is my new creation.....
(You may have heard of an Ice cream sandwich right?)
Well, this is the Cupcake sandwich!
Seriously, beautiful. Anyone like it???

Did she really just say the word cupcake... again?

Oh yes she did! I know many of my posts are about cupcakes... Sorry I can't help it. (I decided that if I could live with one dessert it would be cupcakes. Homemade thought, not the store bought kind.) Moving on. One of the days I bake most is on Sunday. I find it relaxing.... kind of (Except for all the times when I hate the way my cupcakes turn out and I am stressed out about them... which is like all the time.) But today was a great cupcake making day and I was relaxed and loved how my cupcakes turned out.

And here are two cupcakes... One with a chocolate covered ball on top and the other plain. I was trying to decide what looked better but I was leaning towards without the ball, so that's why I made more without the balls on them. BUT I want to know (Just for fun) which cupcake you like better. With the ball or without? Leave me a comment letting me know!
It's kind of cute....
But this just looks like a plain Yummy.

Happy Birthday to Me! (Can you see the pictures now?)

FINALLY! I spent a long time trying to get the pics to show up... so I'm hoping they do. (Oh and after the last picture there's a little white box that won't go away. Just so you know it's not a picture that you didn't see or anything).

So my birthday was back in July and I never blogged about it so I guess I will now. I had no idea what I wanted to do on my birthday and no plans which is so not like me at all. But it all it was a good day.

I started the day off with cinnamon rolls and then opening some presents. My first gift was an I pod! My mom got me a purple one but then I changed my mind and wanted a pink one so we went and exchanged it for a pink one. I also got the I home.. sorry not pictures.

I also got this super cute book written by the same people who wrote Hello cupcake. You will want it!
My next gift was.... (No not cupcakes) but these amazing cupcake wrappers that stay bright and don't fade when you bake them!! I got like six boxes of different kinds. :)

(Homemade Raspberry cupcakes with cream cheese frosting made by me in amazing non fading wrappers)

To see more about these wrappers and to look at the different kinds go HERE.

Then we were off to visit two cupcake shops! The first one we went to was called "Baby cakes". Here is my and my friend Natalie.

Here we are again.

Some yummy cupcakes....

And more yummy cupcakes!

Next we went to another cupcake shop this time called "Heavenly cupcake".

I took more pictures here.

Don't you just love cupcakes??
We then went to In In out for lunch! (My pick).

Then we sampled them..... My lemon raspberry cupcake from heavenly cupcake.
Me, my mom's, and Evan's cupcakes from Heavenly cupcakes.

And my Red velvet cupcake from "Baby cakes". SO after eating our cupcakes (During different times throughout the day) we decited that we all liked "Baby cakes" cupcakes the best!

Then I had an easy going afternoon at home and we exchanged my I pod for the color Pink.

For dinner we had take out PF changs lettuce wraps (THE BEST THINGS EVER!)

And ate at this beautiful little park that was hidden away.
It has a waterfall and ducklings! By the way the ducklings loved the brown rice we gave them. :)
And since we were so close and I love this store we stopped at....
Me in Crate and Barrel

Not great pictures but my favorite colors!

Lime green!

And just because my mom let me get two from the pile below. (For cupcakes of course!) I got the little balls (We found they have chocolate in them!!) and the green sanding sugar.

I had a great day! Thank you mom and Dad!

Then on Sunday we had a Family dinner and A Nothing bunt cake. White choc raspberry.. SO good. And that was my birthday!

Oreo Cupcakes

I got this awesome cupcake book for Christmas. It has the most simple, easy, yummy, mouthwatering recipes for cupcakes! I have already tried out lots of recipes from this book and they don't disappoint!
Yesterday I made these Oreo cupcakes. They were SO good. They have an Oreo inside them and half of one on top. The frosting was not very thick and good for piping (which I did), but it was so yummy! We brought them to a scout auction, so sadly I didn't get to keep that whole plate.

Really they were amazing!

Don't you want one??? :)
