Kind of catching up

Ok Sorry I have been a bad blogger! I'm not going to post any pictures today but hopefully soon! I'm having a problem with uploading pictures and hopefully we'll figure it out soon. Me and my mom recently started doing a program called "Family search indexing" It's a really cool program that helps other people get their family history work done. Try it out! It's really fun.

I have found SO many great party idea blogs, card blogs, craft blogs.....It's crazy how much cool stuff is out there! Check out my "Crafty and cooking" blogs on the side of my blog. With all those great blogs out there I have been planing out lots of idea's for partys I want to have.

I have a couple party's that I'm not going to say anything about yet... :) but I will tell you two little things I'm working on right now. 1. A halloween dinner! 2. A mad hatter tea party for my cousin!

That's all I can think of for now....... :) But i'll try to blog soon......And with pictures!

Poems and Pictures

Today for part of my school I listened to poetry and then had to write some. I started writing about clouds, the sky and rain. I picked pictures that I had took and put my poems and pictures together.

Recently my cousin Cammi said to me "Look Marianne! Look at the snow in the sky!" A simply beautiful description of clouds in the mind of a five year old.

It's a summer afternoon and the sun is shining on me. I'm laying on fresh green grass and I'm looking at the sky. White clouds are in the sky always changing into something new. I lay on my back watching the sky for hours at a time. Like nothing exist around me. Questions pop into my head and the clouds find a way to answer. The sun goes down, it's already dark. No more clouds in the sky. But now I smile. Even though it's dark there's a new kind of clouds in the sky. Bright shining stars fill the sky above me.

But never leaving me alone. The artist who painted them is amazing! He also painted the sky and the sunset. I love the clouds. I love the sky. I love the sunset. And I love the artist who painted these things.

The clouds turn different. No longer just white. A tint of purple, gray and black join in. I run outside to watch the sky. Oh what a brilliant sight! Suddenly the sky is filled with rain. Sweet rain falls on my face. I laugh. Rain. What a wonderful thing.

I'm sitting out side waiting for something. I'm wearing boots and am holding an umbrella. I look up at the sky. It's clearer than ever. I sigh and bite my lip. A drop falls down my cheek. And then I start to cry. BOOM! and CRACK! Is what I hear. My heart pounds. Could it be true? The sky turns dark and gray. A sweet smell fills the earth, I breath it in. Water drops fall on me. I stand up and smile and then start dancing. Dancing in the rain.

This picture always reminds me and makes me think of when the Savior will come and what it will be like.

I hope you will spend sometime today outside. Looking at the sky or clouds. Thinking about the creator of this world or just being grateful for all we have.

Summer time

What has my summer been filled with?

Creating lots of projects! I got lots more paper and stickers after my birthday! There is a feeling of excitement when I see all these things laid out and I can't wait to start creating!

Going to the beach for the VERY FIRST TIME THIS SUMMER at the end of July. Can you believe?!?!? Gosh, I mean we live in San Diego.....wouldn't you think we would go to the beach? (Thankfully I'm going tomorrow!!)

Lots, and lots, and lots, AND lots of reading! I have been reading so much recently and read and finished a book today! And started a new one today....

The day after Pioneer day we had a stake fireside.There were lots of Pioneer musical numbers and 2 choirs. Elder Holland was also there and he spoke to us. After we got to go shake his hand and talk to him! He was so nice and told me I was so kind and that he loved me. And I got to sit next to Charlotte. :)
