Mini bites of Joy

I made some mini cupcakes on Friday night for a baby shower Saturday morning. Wait no, I was gone mostly all day Friday so my mom baked them for me. :) I decorated them. I LOVE mini cupcakes! They are just the cutest thing and you can eat like 10. Really. :) Also thank you to my amazing mother who stayed up with me till midight making these cupcakes... even though I was grumpy and not very nice to her. What did I say, She's amazing! Here are the cupcakes. I tried to get the to match at well as I could. The balls on top are gumballs from Michale's, and the little balls on the red cupcakes are just candy balls. The flavors were: white with cream cheese, chocolate with butter cream, and red velvet with cream cheese.

I had some extra cupcakes so I just decorated some with the colorful sprinkles.

And this is my new creation.....
(You may have heard of an Ice cream sandwich right?)
Well, this is the Cupcake sandwich!
Seriously, beautiful. Anyone like it???

Mothers day pictures

It feels SO good to be blogging! Really it does. I have a lot to blog about but I'll do it.

On Mothers day after church & before dinner we went over to the cemetery . All 15 of us. :) We put in roses and then Jenny brought a rose for each of us to put in with the other roses. It was such a nice time so spend with each other. Here are some pictures I took. I was very happy with the pictures I took!

Cammi was so cute and asked me to take some separate pictures of just her.

After we were done I took a rose and walked over to another part of the cemetery where our friend's grave it. She was only 5 or 6 when she passed away. I knew her if her mom & family had been there they would have brought some flowers, but she they weren't I decided I would and left a rose.
I hope you all had a wonderful mothers day with your family's.

What makes you happy?

Yesterday marked 6 months since my wonderful sweet grandma leaving this earth. I am sad. But I know I have much reason to be sad. One of the most elect lady's has left us and returned to our father in heaven. She is happy and I know wants me to be too, even though it is really hard. I know she is right now doing something that brought her much joy in her life. Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know she is helping others to learn of this wonderful church. She is being very patient and loving while she does this too I know. It is amazing to imagine. I will try to do my best to also share the gospel with others, so that they can feel the joy and peace that I have!

My Grandma was a LOT of fun. She was always telling us stories, or making us laugh. She loved to laugh! She taught me how to make her amazing brownies, and always showed us what she was sewing. A lot of the things she made for us! She was the queen of games and loved a good game of phase 10 or scrabble. She would always sing some pretty funny songs to me and she always encouraged me and was there to talk to me.

I Miss her a LOT. But I know she's busy somewhere on the other side smiling.... and when she smiles YOU smile. I know she would not want me posting about how sad I was here but instead finding something else to be happy about. So here are some things that I am happy about that have been going on in my life or have made me smile.

I am happy about completing our Classical acting play "Two gentleman of Verona". It was so much fun to do but the joy definitely comes in the completing of it! My mom was the director and she did an amazing job. She spent more than 12 plus hours a day for a few weeks on this play!

Evan, My mom and Me

Here is just one of me..... Don't you love that creepy hand in the background... Megan. :)

I was happy that I got to spend Natalie's birthday evening with her. It was on the night of the play. Here she is opening the gifts I got her. I got her a bunch of our "Favorite things" we like to eat or do. And just some random stuff too, but she liked it. Sorry the picture is blurry.

This picture So makes me smile!!

I am really happy because I now have a garden!!! For one of my classes we have to plant a Garden and I finally did it. It is a hanging garden made from shoe organizer. Sounds weird yes, but I think it it pretty cool! I am growing, 3 kinds of flowers, carrots, rosemary, cilantro, green onions, lettuce, and spinach.

I also planted this pretty flower that has an AMAZING fragrance!
And.... A raspberry bush! We havn't planted it yet, but it's outside and it does look better than it does in the picture. (That's a picture from when I first bought it.)

I am happy because on Sunday we are leaving for a little vacation! My dad has work in Arizona and we are staying at a really nice hotel! This is just ONE of the pictures (I found on there website) of the pools where we are staying. They have a lazy river too! I can't wait to go get in that pool....

In my new swimsuit from lands end!
Isn't it cute?!

But I'm smiling even more because some of my favorite people are coming and meeting up with us in Arizona!! Susan, Dave, Josh and Holly! Were excited!

Evan, Susan and Josh on new years eve.

I am happy for this pretty picture of some flowers in my Grandparents backyard after General conference. Conference was awesome!

And I was so happy for the great hike me and Evan went on yesterday. It was so pretty!

And lastly am happy to share a sneak peak with you of some cookies I made today!

Okay and now I am happy because I finally got got up with some stuff I've been doing! I'm not at all caught up with my flicker but at least I am with my blog! :)

Aloha!

A while ago My aunt Jenny asked me if I would be in charge of planning my cousin Cammi's 7th birthday party. I agreed to and I'm glad I did! I'm going to take you step by step into Cammi's party in case you want to throw a party like this too (Or if you just want to see the pictures). Cammi wanted Bright colors, so I thought of a Luau theme! I worked great.

1. I started by looking for invitations on Etsy and I found Pink Pickle studio's etsy shop. I loved their cute Luau invites so we ordered those. You can see them HERE. I did have a little trouble since when they emailed me the invite and it said "Your invited" instead of "You're invited". Kind of weird but we asked them to fix that and they did. We just printed them out at cosco and then hand delivered them (and emailed some).

2. The set up. We had the party in Cammi's backyard. We set up 2 tables and lots of chairs for where the kids would eat. We got the cute table clothes at Party city.

3. Food! The party was at 1:30 so we made it simple and just did snacks and cupcakes. The kids loved the food! We had: Tropical juice pouches, Rainbow goldfish, Cheesy sun chips (Cammi's request), A fruit rainbow, and cupcakes!

4. The cupcakes! I am SOO happy with how they turned out! I found the idea at Family fun's site. They took a long time to make but were really yummy.

I had this idea then to make Cammi a Rainbow fish! She was the only one who had it and it was a special birthday treat for her.

5. The activity's. We split them up into 4 different groups and the rotated to each different activity

Activity #1.. Limbo! Sorry no pictures...

Activity #2 Digging for treasure!

We bought a kitty pool at walmart, bought sand at home depot and filled it with fun prizes from the 99 cents store! The kids loved this activity and thought it was so much fun!

Activity #3 Donuts on a string! Cammi told me before we had even planned the party that this HAD to be one of the activity's. It was and was very fun!
Activity # 4 Games with Hula hoops and balls!
I was in charge of this station so this is the only picture I got.... after the party. All I did was come up with a few quick games with the balls and hula hoops, but everyone had fun. They also blew bubbles and danced to Hawaiian music!

6. Pinata time!

Here is the cute fish pinata we bought at party city. We filled it with candy and let the kids hit away!

7. The party buckets
We found sand buckets that were a great price and filled them with some fun stuff. Like their own canteen/water bottles, rubber duckies, a Hawaiian kit to make a bracelet, bubbles, a noise maker, candy from pinata and the prizes from sand digging. They also got a Lei at the beginning of the party from the birthday girl.

The Birthday girl was very happy and I hope she had a great birthday! ( I just had to take a picture with her and the amazing clouds in the background!)

Happy birthday Camsi! I love you!

Early St. Pattys day

You be the judge... But this is the cutest little leprechaun I've ever seen!

This Leprechaun's friend is pretty darn cute too!

I love them both!
